The Business Advisor-Trainer supports Pathway Lending’s goals, values, and philosophy by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence,

Working under the policy direction of Pathway Lending and under the general supervision of the SVP Education this position provides
support in administrative areas. The Business Advisor-Trainer is primarily responsible to support and facilitate all of Pathway Lending
educational programs with emphasis on the Boots to Business educational program and provide technical assistance to educational program



  1. Provides instruction and administrative support for Pathway Lending educational programs with emphasis on the VBOC’s Boots to
    Business and other VBOC programs.
  2. Supports Pathway Lending’s educational programs by developing and teaching classes and represents the organization at various
    outreach events. Coordinates with other internal instructors and external consultants to ensure high quality content and delivery
    of courses, workshops, and cohorts. Helps create and improve online learning experience.
  3. Conducts initial screening of clients for advisory services and schedules appointments.
  4. Proves administrative assistance for the VBOC, including collecting and entering data in the various governmental and Pathway
    Lending data systems accurately and in aa timely manner. Ensures the integrity of the data that is required for compliance
  5. Other duties as assigned.

stakeholders, and team members. Strong Microsoft Office skills including Adobe, and ability to navigate multiple computer systems,
applications, and utilize search tools. Knowledge of small business and commercial loan documentation, strong analytical skills with
attention to detail and accuracy, excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with all levels of the
organization, ability to meet or exceed business goals and objectives, while fostering a team atmosphere. Ability to work without direct
supervision, self-reliant, tactical as well as strategic thinker, and strong leadership skills are critical. Reasonable accommodations may be

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with teaching or instruction experience or Associate Degree with over five years teaching experience.
Ability to plan, execute and conduct administrative follow up on training. Previous small business experience, business coaching or small
business consulting is advantaged. Military background or experience is a plus. Experience with managing Learning Management Systems
and strong technology skills is desired as well as experience with federal and state government programs. Must have experience resolving
and working through complex customer issues and the ability to perform in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple


Ability to communicate in English, remain in a stationary position 75% of workday, move, identify; ability to travel if required,
and ability to adapt to a changing environment. Aligns with Pathway Lending’s mission of providing clients and stakeholders with the
highest level of service to facilitate their success and the economic growth of our CDFI market.


Position is in an office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions.
Remote work options. Travel is required one to five days a month within Pathway Lending’s Target Market.
