Jarlecia Jones

Jarlecia Jones is Pathway's Vice President of Lending for West Tennessee. She has been with Pathway for 5 years and have served in multiple roles as a Small Business Advisor, Director of Women Business Center, and now as a lender. Prior to her role at Pathway, she worked as a tax accountant for a CPA Firm and as a staff accountant. Her background as an accountant helps her coach clients applying for small business loans and facilitate workshops on loan readiness. Many small business owners find accounting intimidating, but Jarlecia helps them understand that their financials offer valuable insights into business operations—and are key to making strategic decisions for growth.

Jarlecia was born and raised in Memphis, TN, where she grew up surrounded by an entrepreneurial community. Her father was a local plumber serving clients across the Memphis area, and her parents also owned a corner store in the Memphis State neighborhood. After school, Jarlecia pitched in at the market—working as a cashier, stocker, custodian, and whatever else her parents needed.
