Protect yourself from loan scams

Fraud is on the rise.

Scammers may be impersonating Pathway Lending staff to collect personal or financial information. Please use caution and keep the following in mind to protect yourself:

  • Verify employees - Impersonators may use fake or slightly modified names when contacting you. Use our staff directory to confirm an employee's name, title, email address, and phone number.
  • Check email addresses - Be on the lookout for lookalike domains (e.g. @pathwaylenders.org). Official emails from our staff will always come from @pathwaylending.org.
  • Loan Servicing - Pathway Lending does not sell its loans or hire contract lenders to work on our behalf. Anyone who claims otherwise should arise suspicion.
  • Confirm Requests - If you are unsure about a call, email, or text, please contact us directly at (615) 425-7171 before responding.
  • Watch for phishing red flags - Be cautious of urgent requests, unfamiliar language, and common phishing language like "kindly", and "simply".
